Ruin

My piccie of the day is of a ruin of a pioneer era house in Tassie.

I find ruins really appealing, history, architecture and a marker of the fleeting nature of life all in one.

Pushing 180 years old buildings don't get much older in Oz.

What a neat-looking building. I especially love the stonework.

I love ruins too, although I find them to be bittersweet.

I always wonder about the original occupants, their dreams, and what became of them.

wow-- still standing... they made them last in those days.

Looks like a great renovation project, or perhaps it's too far gone. Shame, as it must have been a handsome house once.
