Autumn Colours

My piccie of the day features a splash of colour because it is that time of year down this way.

Of course none of the trees in this piccie are Oz natives, all are what we call "exotics" (except a few in the distant background).

I guess most of my readers come from places where colours like this are normal.
So how does it feel to come from somewhere "exotic"?

Ha! Never considered that anyone would think of my home turf as "exotic." But, yes, colors like that are the norm for trees here in the fall.

same here. Autumn can be brilliant. But I had no idea that those were imports to Oz!

Around here, "exotic" plants are invasive pains in the derriere like kudzu. When the railroads were being laid, these native Chinese plants were put in because they're so fast-growing and could stem erosion. Fast-growing doesn't even begin to describe these plants.

YOUR exotics, on the other hand, are lovely.
