Eye Candy Blogfest.

I hope this post works.

I’ve attempted to schedule it (which is something I have not done before), so as I say here’s hoping!

Two things:

First, I’ve entered Vicki Rocho’s Eye Candy Blogfest. So I have to post a ‘favourite’ photo.

I owe a quick apology to Vicki, I did mean to blog about this blogfest, but I just haven’t had time to get to it.

This “easy” blogfest has actually been really difficult.

Those of you who are regular visitors to my blog know I take heaps of photos. So I have many, many favourites!

So deciding a piccie for this post I thought about photos I have taken of:

SunsetDawn
WaterfallsBeachesSpectacular scenerySkyscapesCityscapesOdd wildlifeBeautiful wildlifeArchaeology

In the end I came down to choosing between photos that I didn’t take myself.

Photos of loved ones.

Like my little brother Ian when he was three. But the photo I am putting up as a ‘favourite’ for this blogfest is one of me that Deb took about fifteen years ago. It is me in one of my ‘hippy phases’. Yes that shaggy individual in the middle really is me. What makes this piccie special to me is I am with my three gorgeous girls. They don’t generally like having their photos taken so there are surprisingly few of us together.

Now the other thing I need to talk about is: I am away all this next week. Deb, Lu and I are having a week’s holiday in ‘The Apple Isle.’
For those of you who don’t know that is the smallest Australian State, namely Tasmania.

I don’t know how often I will have internet access in the land of the Tasmanian Devil (they really do exist). So it is possible you may not hear from me until I get home in a bit over a week.

One last thing, I haven’t had time to respond to the wonderful comments people have left on my last couple of posts. I promise I will as soon as possible.

I discovered the same thing...narrowing it down to one picture when there are so many spectacular choices was really difficult!

LOVE the final shot you chose. Your girls were (and I sure still are) adorable.

Al have a great holiday. Your pictures are great, but I agree with everyone, including you. The best is the picture of you and the girls. Those faces are beautiful, as I am sure the girls are too.

You do take some of the most spectacular photographs possible. And I too love the one you eventually chose.

Happy New Year, Al. May you continue doing your good work among the people who so need it, and may your words and images continue to bring much joy.

You photos are so beautiful! That sunset one is my favourite I think. Love the family one - it is hard to get everyone to be in a photo, isn't it???

Enjoy the Apple Isle (didn't know it was called that btw!) - have fun! :)

Oh wow, those pictures are all so beautiful they brought tears to my eyes. These are the kinds of sights that really make me appreciate getting some use of my sight back.

Thank you so much- and I agree, the last picture is the most beautiful of all. Lucky is a girl who has a father who looks at her with such love. Very lucky, indeed.

Haha! Chuck had a hippy phase too. After he got out of the Marine Corps, he grew out his hair and beard just because he finally COULD lol. Looked like Charles Manson...minus the forehead swastika and crazed eyes of course :P
