Well it was mad at work today, so I didn't get a proper walk:-(

I was going to say some kind of knitted or crocheted throw thing but Old Kitty may be right...
I think it is a decorative covering on a camel's hump. ;)
The first thing I thought of was a crochet thing for a drum. Hum...
It definitely looks crocheted to me. Looks too "holey" to be an afghan, so maybe some sort of decorative throw?
