Rather belatedly I am returning to last week's WIIW.
You must forgive me but my life is rather hectic at the moment...
Linda G guessed
"Perhaps an extreme close-up of a fish scale? (I admit, that's a total stab in the dark.)"
Apart from the fact that it is an extreme close up your stab has gone wide.
Susan said: " I know it ISN'T, but what it reminds me of is a silhouette book
cover. (Bear with me, now. It's kinda like "seeing" things in the
clouds.)So if you use your imagination, you can see a tree and a couple
smooching, backlit by the moonlight"
I can so see that! And surprisingly you are quite close. You are right about the silhouette of the tree!
The couple isn't a couple.
It is actually a reflection of me with one elbow up high, holding my camera to my face.
Here it is again slightly less blown up.
It is a reflection of me and the skyline behind reflected in a shiny curved object.
What is the object?
The abdomen of an ant!
This guy is a "Bull ant"
These Oz natives grow up to one and a half inches long and are the largest ants in the world.
The fellow turned his attention to me so I backed off, I know from painful experience they have a vicious sting

Ew! *runs away*
Sorry I missed what is it wednesday! But boy am I glad we don't have ants like that here! Yikes!
Yuck. That thing looks creepy.
Oh my goodness, that is an extraordinary picture! A reflection in an ant's abdomen... who'd a thunk it? I don't believe I'd want to run across a mess of those critters in my pantry.
